She was a long time resident of Atlanta, but was born in Calhoun, GA in Gordon County and raised in Hiram, GA in Paulding County. Early in her career, she was employed by the Southern Railroad in Atlanta and later spent the remainder of her working career as a bookkeeper. Her greatest joy, however, was in homemaking and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, James (Jack) Oliver Clark.

Flowers, born June 22, 1930, of Snellville, formerly of Brundidge, Alabama, passed on the morning of February 3, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Joan Blackmon Flowers of fifty seven years; children, Bill Flowers and wife Debbie of Lavonia, Richard Flowers and wife Donna of Hoschton, Elizabeth Flowers of Snellville, and Michael Flowers and wife Vicky of Dacula; his beloved grandchildren, Rich Flowers and wife Victoria, Krista Flowers, Justin Flowers and wife Christen, Michelle Silpe, Mary Lynn Montano and husband Brian, Kayla Flowers, and Myka Flowers. He was blessed to have six great-grandchildren Drew, Kate, Emma, Leah, Reece and Cole. Mr. Flowers was a Veteran of the post WWII era where he served i the United States Marine Corps and later in the United States Army as a member of the newly formed Aviation Engineering Force during the Korean War.
After serving his country, he entered the transportation industry with a career that spanned thirty eight years. His work began as a professional operator of heavy equipment and for most of his life as a long haul driver with Ryder Truck Lines. He concluded his driving career with an additional twelve years of service to the Gwinnett County School System transporting both middle and high school students daily. Jean Booth was born September 19, 1924, the only daughter of Norma Alexander Hood and John Hood, both of Commerce. An active Presbyterian, she served on the then Athens Presbyterian Youth Council as moderator. After graduating from Agnes Scott College, she began working at Langley Fields Virginia which is now oldest wind tunnel.
In an effort to get closer to home, she took a job as youth director at a Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC. She married the late William Howard Booth and moved to Apple Valley where she lived out her life. There they raised four sons. During her marriage she was a faithful member of Apple Valley Baptist Church. She played the piano for worship, taught Sunday School and worked many Vacation Bible Schools.
Returning to her Presbyterian roots, she again became active in Commerce Presbyterian where she served as Elder, taught the Sunday School class, was moderator of Circle many times, led a Circle at Northminster (Bentley) Homes, served as Moderator of Presbyterian Women and was honored for her work in the church by receiving an honorary lifetime membership in Presbyterian Women. Jean Booth was in love with history, especially that of her community and her family. She was an avid genealogist, assisted innumerable women with DAR papers, and was the go-to person for countless who were searching family lines. She was an enthusiastic member of the DAR, Jackson County Historical Society and Crawford Long Museum board. She is survived by her children William Howard and Jac- quelynne Simpson Booth of Athens; John Thomas Booth of Commerce; Joseph Henry and Susan Allen Booth of Commerce; Alexander Hood and Fran Spiva Booth of Atlanta.
She had six grandchildren: Leigh Booth Paoletti, Greenville, S.C.; Kate Booth Greene, Wigham, Georgia; Annie Lauren Booth, Athens; Whitney Olivia Booth, Nashville, TN; Christina Culver Booth, Durham, NC; and William Alexander Booth, Atlanta, GA. The highlight of her last year was the birth of her only great-grandchild, Robert William Greene. Born in Oakfield, New York, Mr. Gentsch began his career in 1948 with the Bausch and Lomb Optical Company in Rochester, New York, later working in New York City and Philadelphia. In 1951 he joined United Clay Mines Corporation in Trenton, New Jersey, and in l954 participated in an employee buyout of the company.
After United Clay Mines was purchased by Cyprus Mines Corporation in 1965, he served in numerous assignments in this country, Canada, Great Britain and Europe including positions as president of the Clay Division and president of the Thompson Weinman Company of Cartersville, Georgia. Mr. Gentsch held directorships in White Pigment Corporation, Sierra Talc de Mexico, Sierra Talc Europe and United Clay Incorporated. Mr. Gentsch attended Michigan State University prior to serving with the United States Medical Corps in England, France and Germany in World War II.

Adams was preceded in death by his wife Donna Jean Adams and two sons Fredrick Marvin Adams and Alan Fletcher. He was the owner of the Sea Dell Motel in Marathon, FL, and served as the president of the Chamber of Commerce there. He was a member of the D.A.V., a 32 degree Mason, and the Commodore of the Marathon Yacht Club. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Frank Jacobs of Alpharetta, GA; daughter-in-law Judy Fletcher of Lakeworth, FL; grandchildren David, Hanna, and Fred Adams, Carol Lynn Howard, Chris McLain, Doug Drake, Debbie Dunn, Andy Arnet, John, Steve, Mike and Annette Jacobs; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
